Correct me if I'm wrong, but Oblivion MODS are their own .mod files, which you can just import directly to oblivion via a MOD manager.
I've been playing DDO now, after finding out they are going to be making it free to play. AWESOME stuff. It's actually pretty good.
The control system in DDO is actually a brilliant example of how I'd like our game to control, movement wise etc. I'll show you sometime.
Also playing DDO gave me an idea for 'Detect Traps / Hidden Objects'. You still put points into your Detect Traps / Spot skills (it is D&D afterall) but when you do detect a trap, you get an alert that says 'You get a feeling that there is danger nearby' or something like that, then you use your search skill and it rolls to detect the hidden object.
I think this is better than say, you walk down a corridor and suddenly a red highlighted area appears to tell you there is a trap there.
Perhaps we could have more subtle notifications, like the outsides of the screen begin to glow red or something.
